Child protection

The club follows the ASA 'Wave Power' Child Protection policy. This can be viewed in full on the ASA website in the Wave Power section.

The club strongly believes that:

The child's welfare is the first consideration
All children regardless of age, gender, racial origin, religious belief, sexual identity and any disability have a right to enjoy sport free from all forms of abuse or sexual exploitation.
That we have responsibilities for the welfare of children and young people who take part in our sport.
That the club has a responsibility to maintain confidentiality in all cases involving child protection in line with the current legislation.

Anyone with child protection concerns can talk to any club coach, teacher or official, or you can call the ASA's Swimline confidential helpline free on 0808 100 4001.

The club has a Welfare Officer who deals with all child protection concerns. Any information relating to child protection concerns should be passed on to John Ridley, who will make an appropriate report to the ASA. John can be contacted via this website. Go to the Contact us page, and sent a message to the 'General' message box. You don't have to give your name, and any communications will be dealt with confidentially.
